Amish Country

This was my third stock assignment of the Amish, the first in Lancaster, PA. All of the photos were made discreetly by car or long lens. The landscape is something from a Grant Wood painting, with corn rows and crop squares defining hill after hill in alternating shades of green and yellow.

Posse started in 1989 after a student said, “I never would have dropped out of college if I had my posse with me.” The Posse Foundation identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes.
